She is a minister of the gospel, also the founder of the Community Sisters in Prayer Ministry in April of 2008. Ruthena is committed to serving the Lord and doing the work that he has called her to do in accordance with Matthew 28:19-20. Her life has been predestined and purposed in prayer, with a commitment and dedication to the lord that has afforded her the opportunity to teach and minister throughout the United States, at various workshops, conferences, nursing homes, homeless shelters, and prisons. Ruthena has dedicated her life to prayer, fasting and interceding on the behalf of others. She is the daughter of the late Bishop Chappell and Mrs. Trannie Rush, and is the proud mother of two daughters, Whitney and Jasmine Dorsey.
