He has been married to the same woman for 46 years and he has two sons and three grandchildren. He was trained as a scientist, receiving a doctorate degree in geology in 1981. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and has lived in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wyoming, Texas and Nevada. He has studied the Bible and read many books on history, church history, theology, death, Heaven, and Hell. He was influenced most by the works of C.S. Lewis. He enjoys travel, hiking and reading.
