His parents divorced, and he was raised by his loving father Chester Mitchell. His own children came next at the young age of 18. By the time he was 26, Byron had been to jail twice and had four children. He had turned to the quick life just to get by, but things quickly caught up with him. When he returned from prison, he to turn around his life, got a job, found someone he loved, had two more children but yet hardships found Mitchell again.
