He has taught at the John C. Whitehead School of International Studies. Professor Gomez-Rivera has served as the Director of International Trade for the State of New Jersey. He has also served as a Diplomat for the United States in Colombia, Chile and Venezuela. Professor Gomez-Rivera holds a PhD in History and a JD from NYU. He also has an MA in Educational Administration from St Peters in New Jersey. He is married to Maria Antonia and has three sons, Jose, Lorenz and Alex.
