My name is Elbert Lee Merrick, most people just call me Lee or any little nick name they so choose to give me. I've spent most of my childhood life as a sort of social outcast without many friends. Along with the social awkwardness came some troubles at the home, but that's not what this is about. What I really want to get into is that for me writing and reading, like I did at such a young age, was my escape from reality and most importantly it was, and still is, an outlet for recovery. Not only for myself but for the people I became closest with. At this point in time I have graduated high school, but while I was there I was struggling with demons of my past and the fact that I had made a big move from Virginia down to Florida. There I attended Milton high and my love of writing really flourished. And I began to make some friends weather I wanted to or not. As the bonds I formed with them grew stronger I learned a lot about some of the darker sides and that I wasn't the only one facing personal demons. And thus I found through them and poetry I could exercise these demons, well so to speak, and that is what this is about the chance to share this for whoever will read it.lihat lebih sedikit
