Eager to pursue a career in journalism, Burnaugh was hired on as an intern for a local paper during his senior year of high school in 2012. Later, he enrolled at the University of Colorado at Boulder to pursue a major in news-editorial. Burnaugh’s other areas of interest include creative writing, specifically, Burnaugh enjoys incorporating elements of horror and science fiction into his novels and short stories.
