A former photographer, emergency room scribe, shift supervisor, dance teacher, and observer in a prosthetics clinic, she grew up in Texas and currently works for a nonprofit and a coffee chain in Colorado. All these occupations as well as domestic and international travel experiences, and funerals, have continually prompted her to write and create.
