A widowed mother of four children; two of whom she bore and two adopted. The youngest is 10 years old and is the joy of her life along with seven grand-children and three great grand -children. As a child, she hailed from a humble economic background where her family was extremely impoverished and yet they held on to strong Christian values that created a foundation with a solid belief and teaching of the power to God.
With this belief, the author sought education as a way out for herself and future generation. As a teenager, with a series of personal and social setbacks from teenage pregnancy to lack of employment. The author was determined to change her social standing by finishing school. Therefore, with the help and support of many who will forever remain in her heart for their great deeds of kindness shown during those times of struggles. Thus, the author has endeavored to pay it forward by her kindness, support and service to others.
With their assistance and encouragement, she obtained a (G.E. D.) and begin her study at Central Y. M. C. A. Community College, in Chicago, IL., and later matriculated at DePaul University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the College of Liberal Arts. After the homegoing of the author’s husband she again found herself in a hopeless position and began to seek Christ through his Word.
Again, the author has gone on to receive a Master’s Degree in Christian Studies and Leadership from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ and is currently working in the Doctorial of Educational Program with an emphasis in Christian Ministry. Given the authors experiences, downfalls, setbacks and successes she believes that, “To the Only Wise God be the Glory and Honor.”lihat lebih sedikit
