Contreras is an American poet living in Southern California who grew up in the shadows of adversity. After his aunt took guardianship of him he started writing as a way deal with his struggles. He went on to study theatre and started writing short plays and ballads but was always true to recording his journey through writing which evolved into poetry. He spent time traveling the country which he prides as a writer. Youll see this in his images of northern lights, fireflies, cities and small towns. His love for poetry still continues as he furthers his studies in creative writing and his involvement in literature groups. He now resides in his home state of California where he now is an advocate for human rights. He continues to take road trips across the country to keep his narrative alive.
