She and her husband, Dr. Kenrick Bourne live in Visalia, California, where she practices as a licensed MFT. Her passion has always been building resilience in the marginalized, disenfranchised, and traumatized. She and her husband are the proud parents of two adult daughters, Candice (the book’s illustrator) and Dannette, and they are grandparents to three beautiful grandchildren.
