It took him several years to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature in 1983 by going to school nights and weekends at the University of Houston/CLC He enjoys the outdoors and spends as much time as possible hunting, fishing, camping or just taking walks through remote wooded areas. Much of his time currently is spent on creative writing, but he still takes time to read. Reading has been a passion of his since his teenage years and is something he never tires of doing.
