A native of Newark New Jersey, Dr. Williams has lived and ministered in the inner city most of her tenure. She is a graduate of Winston-Salem Teachers College with a B.S. degree in Education, and a graduate of Newark State Teachers College with a M.A. degree in Special Education. Dr. Williams received her educational and theological foundation from the Manhattan Bible Institute and the American Bible College in Chicago, where she received her Bachelor and Master of Theology degrees. In her quest for further knowledge, Dr. Williams continued her education at the International Seminary of Orlando where she earned her Doctorate in Theology.
Her grassroots ministry has assisted those who society has forgotten, by meeting the needs of the current population and culture through the practical training of life skills. The Agape African Methodist Episcopal Church, Emmanuel A.M.E. Church, the Mary White Williams Ministries, Inc., and a newsletter that reaches over 500 homes on a continual basis (established by Dr. Williams) are a few of the areas that have impacted the lives of thousands over her 50+ years in active ministry in the United States and abroad.
With her passion for people, Dr. Williams’ ministry is not limited. She has provided scholarships over the years that have assisted numerous college bound individuals. A sought after Preacher, Speaker and Teacher; Dr. Williams is very much aware and actively lives her purpose.
“Until death do us part” is a testimonial of her life with her husband, the late Pastor Ohanio Williams. Their ministry together spanned over 30 years and was a blessing to countless individuals.
