She also has a qualification in Psychodynamic counselling. Combined with over twenty years of medical experience this has provided her with a good insight into human nature. Her lifelong interest in Fantasy owes much to her fathers vivid imagination and was stimulated further by meeting various patients who were confused over what was fantasy and what was real in their lives. Her first novel When Dreams Seem Real was published in 2017 and is largely the product of a recurring dream.
