school, she met, and shortly after high school married
the love of her life, Ernest. She was married for sixty-six
years and became an author at the age of eighty-four after
her husband’s death. She now lives alone in Los Lunas,
New Mexico and continues to look at life with a healthy
dose of humor and realism. She continues to say that we
always have a choice in how to look at life. She says,
“You Can be Happy or You Can be Sad.” It’s possible, it
