Hyrax in the Mogogos evolved from his whimsical exploration, as a word he thought he created in a nonsense poem, mogogos, turned out to be a vital domestic tool in rural Kenya. Douglas was blessed to discover Susan Alex Percival, an illustrator who divides her time between France and Kenya, who devoted herself to bringing this story to life. In her work Alex combines her unique artistic voice with a playful, evocative exploration of past and future.
