His personal practice includes meditation, Tai-Chi, ceremony, and cultivating an ongoing relationship with deified Nature. He has been writing poetry for fifty years. He lives with his wife of 20 years, a small flock of sheep, a golfer-hunting cat and numerous wild birds. They have six children and nine grandchildren.
