Areas of his practice have included Internal medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, womens health, surgical obstetrics, including high-risk, geriatric, as well as emergency and pediatric medicine. He has served as chief medical officer of Sevier Valley Hospital for the last four years, gaining further insight into today's complicated health-care system and influencing the local health-care landscape in his home community. His views and opinions on personal health come from years of practicing as a physician and a diverse personal background with many socioeconomic and cultural influences that have guided him to be the first in his family to graduate college. Prior to medical school, he graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in social and behavioral science, studying behavioral influence on society at large. He further studied health-care leadership, attending Rockhurst University in Kansas City, simultaneously earning a master's degree in business administration while earning his doctoral degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
