After college, he was a Church Elder in First ECWA Church, one of the biggest churches in Ilorin, for about fifteen years. He has also been the traditional ruler (a king) of his town for twenty-two years now and has written some other books on the history of local churches in Ilorin, Nigeria, and on the history of Oke-Aba, his hometown.
