She has first-hand experience with mental illness throughout her life. In her teen years she suffered with depression, and at the age of 30 she was diagnosed with bipolar. She has been treated by more than 10 psychiatrist since then, with a variety of diagnoses. She has endured more than 15 episodes (strong deviations from normalcy) by the age of 42 when producing this book.
She has resided in a variety of places in an attempt to stabilize her after these episodes (hospitals, retreats, and other facilities). Some worked, and some didn’t.
She also knows firsthand the experience of denial.
Jasmine has served in the wellness field for over 20 years. The modality that is at the foundation of the service is TrueBalance. Ironic huh?!? This was her mind body fitness program and company since 2004.
It is a Yin Yang approach to well-being through kickboxing instruction, Pilates, yoga, belly dancing, and Tai Chi. She has always honored the individual, and shared her gifts from the heart. She is a walking toolbox, and has generally rose to the occasion with wisdom, application, and humor. She is a breath of fresh air on an old topic of sanity.
She has now found the correct psychiatric treatment and medicine management. As well as generally healthy practices. Solution focused evolution is the name of her game!
