I have always been enthralled by language and especially poetry, the skill of a poet to capture moments and replay them back using specific words and form has always captivated me.My mum, who was Persian and came to England in the 1950s inspired me when she used to read Hafez, Rumi and Omar Khayyam to me as a child, that lit a flame that grew throughout the rest of my life.My favourite poets are W. B.
