Apostle David A. Burgess was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. Burgess was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. In November 1998, at the age of 28, he joined the Lighthouse Ministries Discipleship Program in Riverview, Florida. After two years of rigorous discipleship, he was called to a leadership role at Lighthouse Revival Center, where he served as Elder, Associate Pastor, and Executive Administrator for 12 years. There, he established the Alumni Circle of the Rings, a tradition that continues today. He also coordinated the School of the Prophetic at Lighthouse Revival Center.
In 2012, he returned to south St. Petersburg to start a new work. As the founder of Lighthouse Word of Faith Christian Center, David serves as Apostle and Senior Pastor. Partnering with community organizations, he established one of the largest food banks in St. Petersburg, Florida. Along with that, he is significantly impacting and changing lives by teaching Kingdom Principles. Apostle David is a graduate of Faith Theological Seminary and Christian College (FTSCC) of Tampa, Florida, where he received his Master of Ministry. He established an affiliate campus of FTSCC in St. Petersburg, where he is a professor and in 2021, Apostle David formed a church in Pakistan.
