She spent two years in the School of Herbal Medicine, then qualified in Nutritional Medicine, Therapeutic Massage, Nursing for Health Care Support Workers, and Horticultural Therapy, also completing a BSc in Nutrition. She has also spent some time as a retail manager of a leading health food store. She has drawn on each of these experiences in writing this book and the many accumulated through the years of working as a private therapist.
