At age seventy-one, she has now self-published six books. Jimi’s love affair with words and the color purple has made her one of Reno’s most recognizable poets. She is a resident of Brookdale Independent Senior living in Sparks.
Jimi writes about homelessness, love not found, loneliness, and love for her fellow human beings. She hopes to leave a legacy with her poetry. Writing is her outlet for stress—that, and watching Judge Judy on TV.
