She works as a full-time mum and a part-time content writer for a consulting firm. Reflecting on her experience growing up as the second youngest in a large British family of seven, Kat began establishing a set of "parenting hacks." Among these hacks, she encourages her toddlers to spell out the word patience when overwhelmed with waiting (even when they were so young they could only repeat the sounds). She went on to use this as inspiration for her first published children's book, Patience. Her intention with the book is to help children take pause, refocus their thought process, understand that some things take time, and ultimately to help instill the value of patience—especially in an age of instant gratification. Kat attributes her creative problem solving in parenting to her former life as a project manager, her upbringing, and to her wonderful children who inspire her every day.lihat lebih sedikit
