Dealing with a life changing illness brought a sharper focus on the things that matter in life. Writing had always been a guilty pleasure but it was the imposition of the lockdown in March 2020 that created a space to bring her writing to the forefront. Lin picked up the threads of a novel that had been bubbling away on the back burner of her mind for many years.
