Coughlin, the famous radio priest of the 1930s, served as pastor for four decades. Her father, H. Lloyd Clawson, was a realtor who gave to Father Cougthlin a piece of land to build his first church, which burned down on St. Patricks Day, 1934. Lloyd Clawson was instrumental in the development of an adjacent subdivision on his family’s farm, and was mayor or commissioner of the city for about 24 years. Her parents, siblings and childhood friends all called her “T.C.”
T.C.’s life accomplishments are quite note, worthy. She attended the University of Michigan and Oakland University, earning her degree with majors in history, psychology, social studies, and Literature. With each school except Michigan she took a lot of Art courses. She started her University training at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Presbyterian College. She translated those educational achievements into becoming a very successful business owner. Along with her husband, James Christman, she became co-founder and director of the Christman Assisted Living Facility in Royal Oak, Michigan.
T.C. has written three other books. The Mayor’s Daughter: A Royal Oak Trilogy delves into her fond memories of her dad, Father Coughlin, and her brother, Lloyd “Bud” Clawson, who died in a tragic plane accident during WWII. Sweet Adeline tells the incredible story of T.C.’s grandmother, Adeline and Augustin Herzog who pioneered the first motorized trucking Company in Detroit in 1900. Marie Michell Robinson: A Soaring Pioneer covers the brief life of a young woman who died while serving in the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) program during WWII, and the niece -- T.C.’s daughter -- who honored her aunt by arranging full military honors for her decades later. And to be different, T.C. adds a CD played and narrated by Cheryl for her Aunt.
In addition to being an author, T.C. is an accomplished artist as well. Much of her artwork has been compiled in the books entitled Paintings By Therese.lihat lebih sedikit
