She studied at Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, Nigeria. Relocating to the USA, she earned B.A, English (magna cum laude), M.ED., Guidance and Counseling and PHD, Public Policy. She currently serves as the Director of Student Development | International Center where she provides guidance, and motivation tin shaping students’ live, and an Adjunct Professor of Public Policy/Administration at Southern University at New Orleans. Okoronkwo-Onor’s opinions on immigration and travel warnings on the Ebola virus are published in Newspapers: The Times Picayune and The Advocate. She is a motivational speaker, an author and presenter in a handful of conferences including: NAFSA: Association of International Educators, American Society of Public Administration, Louisiana Chapter. She is the co-author of Arise: Portraits of Nigerian Women of Excellence in the USA, 2000.
