Long before home health care agencies were common, the author was employed by The Visiting Nurses Association of Chicago, caring for patients in their homes. Very often these were terminally ill patients. The author always welcomed them on her case load even when other nurses were not receptive.
Nurse Collier-Carter developed a passionate interest in psychiatry and substance abuse. She earned a BA degree in Psychology/Substance Abuse and spent the next twenty plus years working in that field.
Even into retirement, this author has continued to address death, dying, addiction, and other health issues. Years ago she spent time discussing these topics on the radio and later delivered her message on Television.lihat lebih sedikit
