Dr. Vivian Arnold is a medical resident who took an oath to do no harm, her diligent efforts to protect life in a modern world are put to the test but her morals are put on the chopping block when the Bela brothers and their band of rebels rise to power. Overnight they slaughter millions on the premise of cleansing a poisoned world. The rebels throw the nation into a primal state of kill or be killed and the ground in which Vivian has built herself begins to crumble. She finds herself alone, unsure if the ones she loves are alive and completely paralyzed with fear. On the marginal chance her closest friends, Enzo and Lorelai, are alive she runs; chasing the hope that in the arms of a few cherished individuals she might be able to put herself and the nation back together. With nothing but blind faith, a barely used medical degree, and a disturbing amount of stubbornness, Vivian dissents against everything the rebels preach.
