She hails from the small town of Griffin, Georgia, and currently lives in Ellicott City, Maryland, with Cedric. A woman who found herself drawn to people of all walks of life, Edwina's writing is rich with perspective and empathy.Edwina spent many years as a loving stay at home mother, and her writing reflects the joys, struggles, and beauty of motherhood. Her work as a mother and in her community via the Church and her children's schools gained her the reputation of being a creative, committed, and hard-working woman who loves to serve those around her.At present, Edwina continues to enjoy using her creative talents to write plays, poems, and short stories. Her play about empty-nesters, "You and Me Baby," was selected to be per-formed for a ten minute play festival at a local community play-house in Wheaton, MD. She is currently working on her next play, "The More Things Change, The More They Stay the Same," which is a story of a middle class intergenerational African American family.Edwina hopes that when you read her poetry, you see the world through her eyes, and see all the beauty and potential in the world that she does.
