He is Visiting Fellow in the School of Geography & Environmental Science at the University of Southampton where, previous to his Exeter appointment, he was an Associate Professor of Sustainability Science. Dyke is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a member of the European Geophysical Union, and serves on the editorial board of the journal Earth System Dynamics. He regularly writes for The Ecologist, Guardian, and Independent, and the science-based news website The Conversation.com.
