She credits her inspiration for writing this book with a strong belief that despite what one has gone through, there is always hope for the future. Thando was born and raised in Zimbabwe. She embarked on a journey to pursue her education in the United States, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Information Technology from Purdue University and a Master's in Business Administration from Anderson University, both in Indiana.
