Upon grad...lihat lebih banyakThis section tells a little about the author, Elton Neil Buller.Throughout Pomeroy High School, I was a tremendous athlete, earning A-Team letters from freshman to senior years in sports. Upon graduation, I was accepted by and attended Eastern Washington State University until a calamity happened.I had come back to Pomeroy two weeks before completing my first year of college in 19 6 8, when I was involved in a major auto accident. My best friend was killed, and the EMT's thought I was dead. Barely alive, I was rushed to Spokane, Washington, where I lay in a deep coma for one month. After I showed signs of waking from the coma, my lead doctor, Dr. R. J. Weiland, transferred me down to Pomeroy Health Care Center, where I fell in and out of comatose status for the next several months. Upon regaining consciousness, I had lost the ability to walk and talk. After several months of therapy, these attributes slowly came back to me. It has taken me many years to recover almost to 100 percent from the injuries inflicted upon me.In 1971, I earned my forestry/conservation degree and rejoined the workforce for the US Forestry Services. Upon leaving the US Forestry, I went to work for the Washington State Patrol. However, my extensive injuries would permit me to stay there only one year.While employed by the US Forestry Department in 19 6 7, I started writing poetry and prose. After the auto accident, I was not able to write. I took it up again as I started on my journey of healing.In the contents of this book, you can somewhat tell my stages of recovery and development. Going from being near "vegetable" status to what I am today is something of a miracle. Thank you, Lord!lihat lebih sedikit
