Ernest worked as clerk in the same factory before setting up his own photographic studio in the village. Apart from a brief interlude serving with the Suffolk Regiment during the First World War, he spent almost all his long life in Melford. His vivid, witty memories of the nineteenth- and early twentieth-century village were originally published in 1972, in Ernest’s 94th year. He died in 1973.lihat lebih sedikit
