He now lives in Sydney with his wife, children and dog. Besides living and working in rural environments, Sloan worked in finance, government and semi-government roles before spending many years supporting large corporates and multinationals in the services industry. This work took him to a diverse mix of countries around the globe, where he developed a passion for different cultures and an even deeper appreciation of how someone's formative years can influence one's life; forever.
