He is married to Johannes Pugh. The couple are parents of one daughter and grandparents of two precious children whose father is a great son-in-law. Calderon-Rodriguez has an associate degree in theology from the Assemblies of God Caribbean College in Puerto Rico and a bachelor’s degree in socio-cultural anthropology from the University of Puerto Rico. He has been to Israel four times; the last time lived there for more than eleven months with his family. He served with Bridges for Peace in Jerusalem as the assistant to the director of the publication department. He lived for two months in the Galilee Study Center in the town of Migdal, working as the auxiliary to the director.
