She earned her BFA in Creative Writing at Full Sail University. Finding her voice through the spoken word helped her to reclaim her first love of writing. Some of Thomasson's poetry is featured on SoundCloud under her artist name, Malia Etana Asalé, translated Queen Strong One Speak.She’s self-published two books, Filling the Cracks in My Head and Do One Thing: The 30-Day Plan for Getting Unstuck and Living Your Purpose. Although Thomasson’s sweet spot is inspirational non-fiction, she has a flair for fantasy and psychological thrillers. She is working on her third book, Soul Therapy, a creative self-help book using coloring, journaling, meditation, and affirmations to discover love and freedom.
