While growing up, he was active in sports, participating in wrestling, football and track. Upon completion of high school, Jack initially attended Jamestown College North Dakota on a wrestling scholarship. After completion of his first semester, he transferred to Vincennes University, earning his Associate in Applied Science. In 2006 Jack Hammond enlisted in the United States Army where he has now served for 15 years. Throughout his service, Jack has been deployed once to Iraq and two times to Afghanistan.
