While living in North America, she and her husband, Graham, took every opportunity to travel extensively throughout the continent—notching up their fiftieth state in 2007. She now lives in Waimate, New Zealand, and enjoys finding “off the beaten track” places to visit in their caravan. Time at home is spent gardening, playing croquet and mahjong, and writing.
