One was his Granddad’s Diary of his first year in World War 1 entitled “Getting To Know Granddad”, published 09-09-2009. This book chronicles Bob’s Granddad Ora Bowen’s diary about his day-by-day activities when fighting the Germans in WWI. He wrote about his trip from “Hoboken, New Jersey to Brest, France” on a converted passenger ship and his 3-day trip in a “horse Car” on a train to the front lines. The horse car had a sign inside that read “20 Horses or 40 men”.
The second book “I Drink My Moo, I Do My Poo, That’s All I Do”, published 09-30-2020, written about his life growing up from the early 1940’s to the “Pandemic”. The great grandkids and beyond will get to know about their great granddad’s history, Baker family history, and a little of how they got here. They can also read about some of the history of the times and what it was like growing up during that period.
This is the first time Grandma Darbie participated in Book Preparation. She provided editing services in the two Books Bob wrote and was remarkably familiar with the subject of this book. Bob couldn’t have done it without her.lihat lebih sedikit
