At the age of two she started dance lessons and became a professional ballet dancer. She has appeared in numerous theatrical shows throughout her life and was a member of the Memphis Symphony Chorus for many years. She also performed professionally with the Memphis Opera and choreographed for the Memphis Beethoven Club’s summer operetta performances.
