He began experimenting with gamification techniques in his own classrooms and witnessed significantly increased student motivation, engagement, and academic performance. He earned his M.Ed. in Technology and Learning, focusing on the impact of gamification of learning.John lives in the Kansas City suburbs with his wife Michelle, two daughters, and their dogs.
