She taught in a range of settings but quickly began to work with children in care, either in schools or at local authority level. Working with children in care, Sheila developed a deep understanding of the struggles they, and other vulnerable children and young people, experience. Currently she trains teachers and other professionals in ways to support vulnerable students.
